The Canadian dollar has never had much of a presence onchain. Nearly every digital dollar in circulation is American, which means Canadians moving money digitally have been doing it in someone else's currency, on someone else's terms.
CADC is our answer to that. Canadians have put nearly C$1 billion in cumulative transaction volume through it since 2021. Past transaction volume is not an indicator of future performance, but it does tell you the need was real.
As of this week, CADC comes with a prospectus. (Check out the full press release here: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/cadc-reserve-trust-announces-final-prospectus-receipt-and-availability-through-sedar-302920680.html)
The Ontario Securities Commission has issued a receipt for the final prospectus of CADC Reserve Trust, dated October 22, 2026. The Prospectus qualifies the distribution of CADC Tokens in each of the provinces and territories of Canada. Loon Payments Inc. is the servicer and administrator of the Issuer.

CADC is the Canadian Dollar Coin, a Canadian dollar stablecoin. Each CADC Token is designed to maintain a stable value equivalent to one Canadian dollar, and for every token purchased from the Issuer, C$1.00 is deposited into a segregated Reserve Trust Account held with ATB Financial as custodian.
You can hold it in a self-hosted wallet, send and receive payments with it, and settle 24/7. It runs on leading blockchains, starting with Ethereum, Polygon, Base and Solana, and more to come.
Live since 2021, it is now distributed under a prospectus.
Get CADC at paytrie.com. Eligible Canadian customers can send an Interac e-Transfer, receive CADC, and sell it back for Canadian dollars the same way, subject to Paytrie's terms of service.
Paytrie is an Authorized Participant, one of the companies approved to distribute CADC. It is a Canadian platform registered with FINTRAC as a money services business, and it has supported CADC since the beginning.
Participation is subject to the eligibility requirements and conditions described in the Prospectus and applicable exemptive relief.
If you already hold CADC, your tokens were issued before the date of the Prospectus. Details on moving to the new contracts are here: https://blog.loon.finance/moving-your-legacy-cadc
The Prospectus is the document that governs CADC. It sets out the reserve arrangements, the redemption terms, the Issuer's financial reporting and monthly attestation arrangements, purchaser rights including their conditions and limitations, and the risk factors.
Everything a prospective purchaser needs is in one place, written to a standard set by securities law rather than by us.
Prospective purchasers should review the Prospectus, including its disclosure concerning reserve arrangements, redemption terms and risk factors. It is available on SEDAR+ under the profile of the Issuer, CADC Reserve Trust.
The prospectus is the groundwork. The work now is distribution: more Authorized Participants, more places Canadians can buy and sell CADC, and more partners building payments and settlement on top of it.
We are also expanding the networks CADC runs on and the tools available to developers working with it.

CADC Tokens are not the same as, and are riskier than, holding cash in a bank account. They are not insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other deposit insurer, and there is no guarantee that the assets held in the Reserve Trust Account will be adequate to satisfy all redemption requests.
Although the term "stablecoin" is commonly used, there is no guarantee that the asset will maintain a stable value in relation to the value of the reference asset when traded on secondary markets or that the reserve of assets, if there is one, will be adequate to satisfy all redemptions.
